Job Summary

As a 110 crore (rupees) revenues Indian company (Company) backed by a European Group with worldwide operations, the GMF will be part of the Company s executive leadership team and a key contributor to important strategic and operational decisions.

The GMF will hierarchically report to the BUH of the Company and have a collaborative partnership with the Company s senior management team as well as with the Group senior management team including the Group finance and controlling team to whom shall functionally report.

The GMF will oversee the finance and accounting functions of the Company including all financial and controlling reporting, treasury, tax, legal, compliance and insurance.

The GMF will be responsible for overseeing the Company s overall financial performance, as well as for helping identifying opportunities to continually improve the business operationally and financially. In particular, shall support and promote operational excellence at all levels of the company by proactively providing timely, accurate and meaningful financial analysis, reporting, controls, processes and systems.

This person is willing to get involved in a hands-on leadership role.

Position Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

  • Leads the finance and accounting function of theCompany.
  • Oversees all financial aspects of the business including accounting, financial planning and analysis, operations controlling, treasury, foreign currency risk management, tax, legal, compliance andinsurance.
  • Responsible for accuracy and integrity of all financial information under India GAAP as well as for company s compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to its functions.
  • Responsible to prepare monthly financial reports including profit and loss, cash flow and other management reporting andmetrics.
  • Review and analyze financial results, including variances vs. forecast and vs. budget, and provide recommendations and correctiveplans.
  • Provide analysis and internal reporting that informs business decision-making and enables the leadership team to have greater insight into key metrics of business performance. Help anticipate and then engage proactively in ongoing operational and organizational initiatives to improve profit margins and identify opportunities to continually improve the businessfinancially.
  • Work closely with IT and other departments to drive efficiency and effectiveness of the Company as well as reduce reliance on redundant and manual processes in finance and accounting function.
  • Manages the Company s cash position and banking commitments and covenants, in coordination with the Group finance and controlling team.
  • Manages the Company s relationship with its external stakeholders, including the Company s principal bank(s), external audit, tax and legal service providers, in coordination with the Group finance and controlling team.
  • Responsible for effective, timely, transparent and thorough communication and cooperation with the Group senior management team, including the Group finance and controlling team.
  • Other duties as assigned by the BUH and Group finance and controlling team.

Qualifications-Education/Experience Required:

  • Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting orBusiness
  • At least 10 years prior financial management experience encompassing all the aforementioned duties and responsibilities, in a company with distributed operations of at least 100 crore rupees in revenue
  • Proven track record of success in successive finance roles including some mix of accounting, controlling, internal audit, planning, treasury and banking, tax
  • Experience with India GAAP
  • Proficiency in English language
  • Understanding of changing priorities and sense of urgency, excellent listening and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must be a hands-on / roll-up up your sleeves individual and comfortable in a lean organization to drive results

Preferred:

  • MBA and/or CPA are highly preferred
  • Experience with IFRS experience
  • Knowledge of SAP and Tagetik's corporate performance management software
  • Ideally is a sitting stand-alone or regional or divisional general manager finance
  • Experience in a multi-national company is highlydesired
  • Successful candidates will be from a manufacturing based company that supplies the broadly defined automotive and motorcycle industry withparts and/or components.
