Job Summary

Summary: We are looking for a Manager - Training Operations, to join the L&D team at iMerits Bhubaneswar center and provide hands-on leadership of training operations. The role has dual responsibilities of workforce development and client value generation, and will be part of the L&D leadership team at iMerit.

Responsibilities include:

  • effective management of L&D talent at the center across client projects to optimize Delivery performance and client value
  • ensuring rigorous adoption of L&D best practices, training platform and supporting tools
  • continuous tracking of training and production performance, proactive management of performance gaps through appropriate interventions, measurement of training effectiveness and impact
  • regular reporting of performance at various levels of the organization, and collecting 360 degree feedback
  • maintaining close and productive working relationships with key Delivery leaders, jointly identifying skill development needs and helping plan, develop and implement high quality training programs
  • effectively leveraging L&Ds eLearning, soft skills & communication, and technology capabilities to deliver the best client experience
  • guiding L&D trainers at the center on a daily basis, ensuring optimal utilization of their expertise, and being responsible for their career growth
  • development of deep domain knowledge, hands-on tool expertise, and outstanding facilitation skills amongst L&D process trainers
  • planning L&D capacity aligned to iMerits business needs at the center, and sourcing the right trainer talent

The ideal candidate should:

  • Be comfortable leading in a highly dynamic business environment, embracing and managing change
  • Have extensive experience in managing teams and projects, in knowledge intensive service delivery settings, distributed across multiple locations
  • Be experienced in client relationship management, including highly nuanced client communication
  • Have outstanding people management skills, be passionate about mentoring and developing junior colleagues
  • Be an enthusiastic learner, interested in domains such as machine learning, computer vision and natural language processing that are core to iMerits business
  • Be technologically savvy, comfortable learning a diversity of tools and platforms, and lead by example in adopting technology
  • Have an eye for detail, be able to analyze quantitative and qualitative data, draw actionable insights, make effective presentations
  • Communicate effectively, within and across teams. Possess strong English skills - both verbal and written
  • Possess strong collaboration, problem solving and critical thinking skills

Experience/Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of industry experience, with at least 5 years of experience in learning & development aligned roles in knowledge-intensive and IT-enabled services delivery
  • Have a strong academic track record with at least a Bachelors degree in engineering/science/humanities, with additional degrees/professional certifications in management/L&D related disciplines.
  • Knowledge/Experience in instructional design and eLearning would be good to have
