Job Summary:

A Proofreaders role involves careful reading of a document to detect any errors in spelling, grammar, and punctuation. He or she also marks the copy with standard proofreading marks to notify the writers and editors of necessary changes. The Proofreader also maintains a proofreading checklist to ensure consistency in hyphenation, capitalization, and formatting.

Job Description:

The roles and responsibilities of the Proofreader include the following:

  • Adhering to clients artwork production standards and standard operating procedures and agreed schedules for artwork production
  • Ensuring that data integrity and accuracy is maintained throughout the proofreading/amendment stages
  • Adhering to and following quality systems, processes, and policies
  • Complying with training and specifications

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • EducationBSc/MSc
  • Experience1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent command of English, including spelling and grammar
  • Exceptionally good attention to detail, along with superior copy editing skills
  • Understanding of promotional pharmaceutical clients process for prepping materials for medical/legal and regulatory submissions
  • Skill of handling multiple projects and creating standard procedures, with a desire to work as a team player
  • Ability to maintain high-quality work while meeting tight deadlines
  • Exposure of working with pharmaceutical or pharmaceutical services industry
