Job Summary
We are seeking a visionary Data Architect based in Pune to lead our data engineering practice within product engineering services. This strategic role involves shaping the organization's data architecture, defining best practices for data lakes and data warehouses, and guiding architectural decisions across data engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-wide data architecture strategies, including data modeling, data governance, and integration frameworks.
• Lead the development of scalable data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts, especially using Databricks and medallion architecture.
• Build and optimize robust ETL/ELT data pipelines and real-time streaming solutions.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement strong data security and compliance practices, including GDPR and CCPA regulations.
• Standardize data governance policies and drive data quality across platforms and business units.
• Work closely with data engineers to implement high-performance cloud-native storage solutions using Azure ADLS Gen2, AWS S3, etc.
• Evaluate and introduce innovative data platforms, tools, and frameworks to enhance engineering capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams across all data initiatives.
• Translate business data needs into technical architectures and create detailed documentation (e.g., ERDs, data flow diagrams, integration maps).

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data solutions.
• Strong command of data modeling techniques (e.g., dimensional, data vault).
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Hands-on expertise with Databricks, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, or Google BigQuery.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and their data ecosystems.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Java, Scala).
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools, data pipeline orchestration (e.g., Airflow), and real-time streaming (e.g., Kafka, Flink).
• Solid understanding of data security, compliance, and data governance frameworks.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools from an architectural standpoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to machine learning architectures and MLOps pipelines.
• Understanding of graph databases (e.g., Neo4j) and semantic data layers.
• Familiarity with data mesh, data fabric, and modern data management paradigms.
• Hands-on experience with real-time data streaming frameworks like Apache Flink, Kafka, or Spark Streaming.
