Job Summary

Position: Talend Data Engineer

Location: Bangalore, India

Employment Type: Full-time

Experience Required: 4 to 9 years

Purpose of the Position:

As a Talend Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines both on-premise and in the cloud. You will work with technologies such as Talend Suite, Snowflake, and reporting tools to support high-impact data integration and business intelligence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ETL/ELT Development: Design, develop, and deploy ETL/ELT workflows using Talend Data Integration and Talend Cloud.
  • Data Transformation: Apply stored procedures for accurate and structured data processing.
  • Reporting: Build reports using MicroStrategy and Power BI to support decision-making.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation for pipelines, configurations, and processes to ensure data integrity and quality.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and optimize data pipelines, resolving data-related issues swiftly.

Essential Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Talend Suite (Talend Data Integration, Talend Cloud).
  • Strong skills in Snowflake and writing Stored Procedures.
  • Expertise in ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and data modeling.
  • Familiarity with data quality frameworks and job scheduling tools.
  • Proficient in handling data formats like JSON, XML, CSV, and Parquet.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with BI tools like MicroStrategy and Power BI.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and cloud-based data services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience with Talend and data engineering projects.
