Content Editor Life Science (3-5 years)

We are currently looking for journalists/content editors with 3 to 5 years of experience based in Mumbai, India. The ideal candidate should have more than 3 years experience in an editorial role in newspapers, magazines or content related organizations, with a general understanding of the global media industry and multinational corporations. If you are curious, optimistic, sociable, highly analytical and hard working and are the kind of person that likes to get things done, then this role could be for you. We will prioritize those who have in-depth knowledge in the area of finance, energy, healthcare and pharmaceuticals.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for media monitoring, analyzing and improving content
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in large, complex organizational structures with rapidly changing requirements and shifting priorities
• Track leading stories and identify news that matters to most global clients
• Think creatively about content and generate new ideas, format it to conform company styles and proofread for accuracy; adhere to style guide and grammar
• Consistency in providing quality work
• Work under tight deadlines and take responsibility for daily assignments

Required Skills:

• A good understanding of English language, including excellent grammar
• Familiarity with a range of industries, including defense, energy, finance, U.S. healthcare, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, transportation, taxation and trade
• Ability to interact with global teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel Applications etc)
• Proficient in web search, translation software and willingness to learn by adopting latest technologies used for editing content and search tools
• Experience with HTML and content management systems is a plus
• Any Certification in Testing would be an added advantage
