- Experience with major big data technologies and frameworks including but not limited to Hadoop, MapReduce, Pig, Hive, sqoop, HBase, Oozie, Mahout, Flume, ZooKeeper, MongoDB, and Cassandra
- Strong knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python, R
- Experience in client-driven large-scale implementation projects
- Data Science and Analytics experience is a plus (Machine Learning, Recommendation Engines, Search Personalization)
- Understanding of Agile (Scrum)
- Solid knowledge of design patterns and refactoring concepts
- Good to have an experience into Telecom/BFSI domains
- Practical expertise in performance tuning and optimization, bottleneck problems analysis
- Solid technical expertise & troubleshooting skills
- Possess expertise in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design
- Skilled in grasping the big picture and conceptualizing & applying appropriate, practical technology/ mix of technologies that meet business needs while minimizing risks.
- Proficient in installing, configuring, supporting and managing full life cycle of Big `Data Hadoop clusters using Cloudera and Horton Works; calculating pros and cons of various technologies and platforms such as Data Lake
- Expertise in initiating automation, managing systems operations and implementing measures for performance fine-tuning, diagnosing, troubleshooting and optimizing applications to effectively execute projects & deliver compelling results for client.
- Skilled at evolving new IT related standards, norms, usage policie and implementing the same across the organization; proposing business intelligence solutions including development & maintenance of systems for databases, documentation processing and execution of analysis projects as required for business continuity.
