Our software company is seeking a Junior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our quality assurance team and contribute to the development and implementation of our quality assurance strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing principles and a desire to learn and grow in the field of software quality assurance.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, design, and execution of software testing activities
- Write and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure software quality
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and resolve defects
- Participate in code and design reviews to identify potential quality issues
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in software quality assurance
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks
- Participate in the development and maintenance of quality metrics and reports
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies
- Experience with manual software testing
- Familiarity with automated testing tools and scripting languages (e.g. Selenium, Python) is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
