Job Description

• As a software tester you will understand functional requirements and design test scenarios and test cases
• Perform test execution, document defects using defect tracking system and report these to developers
• You will work with functional teams in the project to gather requirements and attend defect management calls
• You will mentor junior members on the project and create functional expertise in end to end modules
• You will be creating automation scripts out of the regression suite of test cases
• You will serve as the quality advocate for your functional areas

Roles & Responsibilities

• 5 + years of industry experience in manual & automation testing (Selenium with Java)
• Hands-on experience in writing and executing test scenarios, test cases or automation scripts
• Hands-on experience in defect logging, tracking and verifying defects
• Experience in managing test environment and implementing builds
• Mentor other team members on product/application features/functionality and domain
• Involve in knowledge transfer to new team members
• Study the development scope and identify components that need updates / rework
• Working knowledge on web service testing
• Working knowledge of leading automation tools like Selenium
• Knowledge of any of DBMS systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skill
