Job Summary
Job Description
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Work with external data sources and APIs
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability and general reliability
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum Experience of 3 years in Android App development
- Proficiency in Java and Android architecture
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
- Should have good knowledge of Java concepts, Kotlin, Android UI Design Principles
- Good knowledge of SQLite Database and local database management
- Vast expertise in push notifications using Fire base Cloud Messaging and integration of third-party services
- Understanding of memory management and multi-threading frameworks specific to mobile devices - XML, JSON and Web Services
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles and patterns
- Experience working with a source code repository (GitHub or SVN)
- Experience with offline storage, threading and performance tuning
- Experience with RxJava, Dagger, Room and Livedata is a plus.
