Institutional Shareholder Services is growing! ISS seeks a Data Analyst to join our team in Mumbai, India.

Overview:

The Data Associate is a valuable member of the Rainmaker Data Team, directly contributing to the company in the provision of data, insights, and market intelligence for the financial services industry in Australia. This position will provide the opportunity to become an Institutions data specialist, covering key Companies in the industry, their Investment Portfolios and their key People. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience in internet research, reviewing annual reports, data entry, data collection, data processing, data accuracy, and insights into the financial services sector within Australia. Working within a long-established Data Team where members are passionate about data, financial services and researching. Each team member will have access to professional learning material, professional software, industry events and media titles to support their growth and expand their knowledge of the financial services industry in Australia. About Rainmaker Information: the company was founded in 1992, and is a leading provider of data, insights, research and media on the financial services industry in Australia. Rainmaker is part of Institutional Shareholder Services Market Intelligence (ISS MI) business unit.

Responsibilities:

• Researching and confirming business information, investment portfolios and contact details.

• Researching company websites, LinkedIn and other sources for information.

• Reading key media titles on the Australian financial services market.

• Data collection and processing of data for Companies, Investment Portfolios and Contacts.

• Maintaining a database.

• Assisting with processing subscriber and publication, address and email data.

• Communication of tasks, progress, successes, and deadlines to the team.

• Participating in an ongoing professional learning and development program in financial services.

Qualifications:

• Passionate about Data and /or financial services.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• University qualified in a relevant field, including, but not limited to Finance, Commerce, Business, Marketing or Economics.

• Strong communication skills.

• Strong Internet research skills.

• Strong MS Office suite skills.

• 1 to 3 years experience with data and/or conducting research.

• Well organised and pro-active.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Genuine interest in learning about the financial services industry.

We offer a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in office and 2 days work from home."
