Job Description in detail :

  • Overall responsible for compliance of safety provisions in the factory.
  • To specifically ensure the precautions mentioned in HOT WORK / VESSEL ENTRY / SPECIAL WORK PERMIT and approve the same.
  • To strictly monitor that Personal Protective Equipments ( PPE ) are being used by all workmen and the employees.
  • Assisting in the Risk assessment.
  • Prevention of accident by imparting training and education on Safety to employees and motivating them in day to day work.
  • To Assist for internal safety audit and arrange to carry out statutory safety audit as per provisions of the Factories Act, 1948
  • To identify and minimize unsafe Act and conditions and report the same to the management.
  • To assist for conducting Safety Committee Meeting and implementation of decisions / recommendation of Safety Committee.
  • To Assist to take proper precautions to avoid any type of accident in the premises and in case of accident do proper reporting and investigation of cause of the accident.
  • To Assist in ensuring proper compliance of provisions with respect to safety as per provisions of the Factories Act, 1948 and the Gujarat Factories Rules, 1963
  • To Assist in ensuring proper compliance of the inspection remarks of Inspector of Factories, Chemical Factories Inspector and Certifying Surgeon
  • To Assist in ensuring compliance of the provisions of the Hazardous Chemical Rules , The Petroleum Act, 1934 and all other applicable acts with respect to safety
  • To maintain fire fighting equipments and personal protective equipments in ready to use conditions
  • To co-ordinate with security personnel as far as it relates to compliance of safety provisions w.r.t. transporters, casual labourers and external agencies
  • To comply with the ISO 9001 requirements
  • To provide safety orientation training to inductees
  • Any other job assigned by the Management / superior
