Job Summary
  • Supporting the team at IT for Change and DAWN in implementing various activities in research, advocacy, and field-building, including virtual roundtables and policy webinars.
  • Closely tracking and monitoring global and regional developments that have a bearing on gender justice in the digital economy (Big Tech excesses, global digital cooperation mechanisms, gender and digital policy intersections, feminist future of work debates, and so on).
  • Writing high quality blogs and editorials on a fortnightly/monthly basis and working closely with Bot Populi, our online magazine on digital justice.
  • Driving dissemination and outreach activities via e-lists and periodic newsletters and collaborating on global campaigns and events organized by platforms that IT for Change engages with, including the Just Net Coalition.

  • Ph.D./Master s Degree in the Social Sciences/Law/Gender and Development along with keen interest in, and expertise on, legal and policy debates on the digital economy.
  • 5+ years of work experience in relevant work tracks.
  • Ability to work asynchronously and independently and produce outputs in short turnarounds.
  • Experience in network management and international collaborative work.
  • High proficiency in English, and a track record of original publications (authored/co-authored).
  • Ability to conceptualize and author technical reports for the project and manage funder reporting tasks.
  • Multi-lingual skills.
