Job Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer - Backend (.NET) to join our engineering team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will develop and maintain backend services and APIs using .NET Core and .NET Framework. As part of a dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to work on high-traffic, scalable applications and contribute to innovative solutions in the travel technology space.

Responsibilities

Backend Development:

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using .NET Core / .NET Framework.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code adhering to best practices and coding standards.

Database Integration:

• Design, implement, and maintain SQL-based databases (e.g., SQL Server).
• Integrate databases with backend services using Entity Framework or other ORM frameworks.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with front-end developers, designers, and product managers to build high-quality, user-centric software.
• Participate in sprint planning, agile ceremonies, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Code Quality:

• Conduct code reviews and ensure the quality and maintainability of the codebase.
• Implement and maintain security and data protection measures for all backend services.

Troubleshooting & Optimization:

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems to enhance performance and reliability.

New Features Implementation:

• Assist in the design and implementation of new features and services.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Experience: 1-3 years of professional experience in backend development using .NET Core or .NET Framework.
• Proficiency:
  • Strong knowledge of C# and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Database Skills:
  • Strong experience with relational databases like SQL Server or MySQL.
  • Experience with Entity Framework or other ORM frameworks.
• Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Web Services Integration: Knowledge of web services and integration methods (e.g., SOAP, REST, JSON, XML).
• Unit Testing: Good understanding of unit testing frameworks (e.g., xUnit, NUnit).
• Cloud Knowledge: Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure is a plus).
• Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Communication: Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
