Devops Engineer Job in Jade Global Inc

What you get to do in this role:

Applies DevOps thinking - i.e. brings development and IT Ops processes, people and tools closer together - in order to increase the speed, efficiency and quality with which we deliver technical solutions to our business

Architects a Deployment Pipeline; the set of technical and business assurance activities that support the transition of application services from development through to production

Defines and executes a balanced management methodology that is capable of organizing a diverse collection of technical activities into a coherent workstream

Develop the Build and Release platform for a fast-growing development organization.

Support and maintain source code management and build tools (Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Azure)

Support and improve the build pipeline

Ability in troubleshooting, problem solving, root cause analysis, and documentation

Branching, code repository and webhook administration

Develop productivity tools & plugins

In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:

Design and build the release pipeline from Continuous Integration(CI) through Continuous Delivery(CD) - Desired experience implementing the same

Enable monitoring post deployments by writing API's, or scripts to integrate with various applications

At least 3 years of DevOps experience

Proven ability to thrive in a fast-past development operations role - 3+ years of relevant experience ideal

Ability to document and develop based on CI/CD best practices

Proficiency in one or more scripting languages

Experience in source code management and branching

Understanding of automated build and release systems

Passion for automation, continuous improvement, and DevOps culture

Excellent written, presentation and communication skills

Security and compliance minded

Fluency in the software development lifecycle

A strong commitment to customer service

Preferred

ServiceNow application development experience

Experience in developing automation in large enterprise scale development environments

Inter-team training and knowledge sharing

Experience managing, debugging, and improving build systems

Experience with agile methodologies

Fluency in several of the following technologies:

• Git / GitHub
• Maven / Nexus
• Shell Scripting/ Javascript/ Groovy / YAML
• Jenkins
• Azure
• Kubernetes / Docker
