Job Summary

Purpose of the role

To bring expertise in latest Business analytics tools and techniques including monitoring, data analysis and statistics, Agile Scrum methodologies, use of SQL databases, etc. to help analyses and drive business performance through a set of integrated and systematic changes.

As a Business Analyst, you will identify and address operational, financial and technology risk/gaps in business and work with cross-functional teams to design, build, deploy reporting systems, data monitoring and develop utilize metrics to predict improvement opportunities. You will also be responsible for driving process improvement and projects as identified from time to time.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor data, develop and maintain metrics allowing granular explanations of all relevant business and operations data
  • Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly trend reports and driving the prioritization of Quality/Cost Improvements projects
  • Produce regular reports and analysis, write systems queries to gather data, perform data-mining and analysis using tools including MS Excel, OBIEE, MySQL, SQL, Oracle BI and Cognos, etc. to identify trends, develop forecasting models and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
  • Collaborate with Operations & Engineering Managers other Operations teams to implement solutions that enrich customer experience.
  • Deep dive and acquire an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices and apply when solving business problems.
  • Participate in industry and other professional networks to ensure awareness of industry standards, trends and best practice in order to strengthen organizational and technical knowledge
  • Drive LEAN efforts by leading Six-Sigma & Kaizen projects in relevant operational area.
  • Provide analysis support on Project, New Initiatives and Strategic Decisions and act as a liaison between leadership/business teams and engineering teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering with MBA/CA preferred
  • Advanced technical skills. Strong in Data analysis/Microsoft Excel/SQL skills
  • Effective usage of PPT to present and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in business analysis or a related field. (preferably BFSI - Insurance, AMC or Broking)

Other attributes

  • Experience in business process improvement, Lean/Six Sigma a strong plus.
