Assistant Manager - Design Job in Kec International Ltd.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Timely and accurate drawings as per specifications
• Design Capability level and % correlation with simulations
• % Conformance to plan for creating 3D models for inhouse moulds
• Timely delivery of moulds
• Timely update of status reports

KEY ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

New Product Design & Drawings

• Study the product specifications in detail for which drawings are to be made with focus on parameters like size, mould, etc.
• Make drawings for new products as per the product specifications and do the necessary calculations
• In case modification to the mould is required, make the drawing incorporating the changes and inform the same to the vendor and manufacturing plant
• Prepare and analyse mould inspection report after delivery of the mould from the vendor
• Design an accurate 3D model as per the drawings
• Work on design automation projects design automation for mould and design automation for tyre and special projects as assigned

Mould Vendor Management

• Visit the vendor site for mould inspection to ensure that the mould is as per the mould drawing
• Regularly follow-up with the vendor to check the mould status, track the mould dispatch and ensure on-time delivery of mould by the vendor
• Participate in new vendor selection and develop and improve mould and accessories sources

Other activities

• Visit the plant for inspecting and checking the cured tyre
• Key in activities in PLM at every stage of to keep a track of progress/ timelines and to ensure timely documentation of the activities
• Support in preparation of design patents and design registrations
• Maintain a library of documents related to design - drawings, SOPs, design standards and patterns
