ROLE

Khoros is looking for a highly driven Marketing Insights and Data Operations Team Lead who demonstrates initiative and passion for organising and analysing important data and insights that drive optimal Marketing performance . We are looking for someone who can lead, inspire a team of analysts and be involved with reviewing processes, work with the team to make a variety of recommendations for improving efficiencies, analyse, map, report and align requirements to meet key business objectives.

The Marketing Data Operations Team Lead will actively work with the team to grow, monitor and enhance our company s contact database, with analytics and insights that will inform and shape world-class marketing programs. The successful candidate is a key player in our business who will also closely collaborate with key stakeholders and the Marketing Operations Team to identify opportunities to help create and accelerate revenue opportunities for our business.

WHAT YOU'LL DO ?

  • Be a player-coach who will work both strategically and tactically to manage workload and deadline requirements; prioritise and allocate resources.
  • Provide strategic and visionary recommendations; review the analysis and business drivers based on competitive trends.
  • Work hand in hand with your team to create reports and dashboards that support Marketing while collaborating with sales.
  • Extremely business & customer focused, able to work with minimal instruction and oversight
  • Deliver high-quality outputs in a dynamic work environment while balancing deadlines
  • This role is also very cross functional, so you will have the opportunity to learn from Marketing/Demand Gen, Customer Success, Sales/Sales Operations and even Product.
  • Plan, direct and develop best practices and procedures
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and develop or enhance tools to assist in the work deliverables.
  • Ensure data quality of all outgoing reports and analyses.
  • Collaborate with marketing and marketing operations teams to help find ways to grow a healthy and strong network that will greatly and positively impact marketing and sales efforts.
  • Deliver a monthly report to management on industry trends/insights and how to maximise those trends by improving on what we do.
  • Growing and enhancing the scalability and performance of existing databases.
  • Leading, training, inspiring and managing an effective and efficient team of 3 (initially) and holding them accountable for their performance
  • Helping design and implement a constantly evolving and improving data strategy and structure.
  • Conducting quality checks to ensure the accuracy of our reporting and data.
  • Developing procedures, work flows and timelines and assisting with the design and implementation of processes.
  • Keeping up to date with developments and trends in database management, marketing insights and more.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR ?

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, management information systems (MIS), computer science, information systems, or information technology, economics. (Ideal but not necessarily required).
  • 3-5 years of experience in the same or equivalent domain.
  • Advanced proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Expert proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (advanced formulas, pivots, macros, modeling).
  • Marketing Automation experience a bonus (Marketo preferred but not required).
  • Experience with a Team Lead role ideal but not required.
  • In-depth knowledge of database technologies, architecture, and data security.
  • Knowledge of best practices in database management.
  • Advanced analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Extremely rigorous, organised and structured
  • High level of professionalism, energy and sense of urgency to "make things happen".
  • Willing to be hands-on when necessary and a leader/team player with a positive attitude, strong sense of empathy and ability to be decisive.
  • Attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills while continually improving success driven metrics.
  • Quick learner, and self-driven to understand a complex space.
  • Outstanding verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrable experience leading a team and continually improving success driven metrics.
