Job Responsibilities:

Requirements and Solutioning

• As part of your day-to-day activities, you'll work with various systems like mobile applications, Data Analytics, Reporting, and Messaging platforms

• Analyze requirements and prepare a query list. If requirements are incomplete, a QA engineer needs to ask meaningful questions that will yield more information and help perform testing effectively

• Serving as an advocate for software quality in both product and test development

• Write and execute test cases to find system bugs like UI and usability issues, etc.

• Log and document bugs in the tracking system and tracking them to closure

• Manage communication across all stakeholder groups

Functional and System

• Should be familiar with all types of testing such as performance, stress, scalability, and exploratory testing

• Check consistency across devices, browsers, and operating systems

• Provide inputs on high-level test scenarios, challenges, risks, resources, test estimates, etc., during test planning meetings

• Work closely with the dev team from reproducing the reported issue and emphasizing the fix to understanding how the bug has been fixed

• Programming skills are always a plus including coding, basic SQL knowledge to extract data for tests, XML, general web development skills, and web services

Testing Skills

• Experience in manual testing

• Testing of the product using automated and manual tests as appropriate based on the use case and requirements

• Should have knowledge of tTesting methodologies and SDLC

• Setting up and maintenance of testing environments

• Should have excellent debugging skills to do the RCA

• Analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills

• Good understanding of BRD, User Stories, Mockups

• Well versed with agile development methodology

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate in any field (Preferably B.Tech/BE in Computer Sc MCA, B Sc Computers)

• Work Experience: 1-5 years of experience in functional, system, integration testing (preferably in Fintech or BFSI domain but not mandatory)

Other Requirements:

• Automation testing experience is good to have

• Experience in Reporting and Dashboard testing is a plus

• Keen interest in learning technology

• Should be able to work in a demanding environment

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Java, Java Script, Python, SQL, HTML, Rest APIs (XML, JSON)

• Must understand web and mobile applications, integrations, APIs

• Strong SQL/ DB skills

• Experience with Automation tools like Selenium is a plus

• Tools: Postman, Visual Studio, Test Rail

• Knowledge of bug tracking tools like Zoho, Jira, Confluence

Soft Skills

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Should be able to provide constructive feedback to all the relevant stakeholders and developers

• Understanding the Business Requirements(BRD) and writing test cases to ensure the quality of product delivery.

• Work in a team environment, and coordinate with multiple business stakeholders.
