Job Summary
  • To ensure that excellent Nursing is provided to every patient with a smile and positive attitude.
  • To ensure that every patient is attended by the nurses, immediately on arrival in the ward and prescribed treatment is also started immediately.
  • To maintain cordial and personal relations with all patients and their attendants.
  • To make sure there are no complaints from the patients regarding Nursing, Housekeeping, Air-conditioning, Plumbing, Mosquitoes and diet
  • To ensure that nurses maintain proper documentation of all the patients allocated to her/him.
  • To ensure that all discharged patients are released without delays
  • To ensure all procedures/investigations/Doctors visit and any other charges are immediately entered in the charge sheet.
  • To ensure that all discharge files / death summaries are complete before they are sent to the record room.
  • To ensure all ward samples are sent to the lab immediately and proper financial and statistical entries are matched.
  • To motivate staff for raising incident reports in their respective areas and support them in terms of training or counseling to avoid any such incidents in future.
  • Conduct and report root cause analysis for reported incidents in their respective areas.
  • To ensure proper allocation of job responsibilities for Staff Nurse and to make duty rosters as per the ward requirement.
  • To make / modify systems for accountability of all the staff nurses
  • To ensure all consumables / disposables, emergency drugs are stocked in adequate quantities and unused medicines are returned to the pharmacy, one month before the expiry date.
  • To ensure that all medical equipment, gadgets procedure instruments /trays and other related supplies are always available for routine and emergency procedures in perfect functional order. In case of any problems inform the concerned dept. and get the problem rectified immediately
  • To ensure that all prescriptions going to the pharmacy are cross-checked and signed by the R.M.O.
  • To give orientation to the nurses regarding Nursing, Housekeeping, Management of housekeeping staff, diet, energy conservation documentation and maintenance of records.
  • articipate in internal audit for preparation of NABH or JCI accreditation. Make sure all required documentation are kept ready and maintained adequately for audit purpose.

Qualification :
Bsc-Nursing/GNM
Experience Required :

Minimum 10 Years
