Compliance Analyst Job in Klearnow

Seeking a self-motivated career global trade professional to lead and grow our national Compliance organization as we bring KlearNow s Logistics as a Service web-based platform to Germany. In this role you will help our customers drive efficiencies in their business for their customs clearance process, provide centralized document management, and end to end visibility regardless of freight forwarder, etc. You will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise in the field of customs compliance whilst also managing the day-to-day processing of import/export filings.

• Act as a knowledge leader in German/EU customs compliance and contribute feedback for the development/enhancement of world class customs entry software
• Manage the processing of live shipment transactions using proprietary technology to automate data ingestion and customs filings
• Collaborate with cross functional business partners to troubleshoot challenges as they arise
• Support global Compliance organization with special projects
• Contribute to cross-functional initiatives upon request
• Other duties may arise through the normal course of business

Required Qualifications

• 5-7 years of customs brokerage and/or trade compliance experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Union Customs Code (UCC) and general import and export compliance concepts such as shipping and commercial documentation, Incoterms, and the Harmonized Tariff System (TARIC)
• Self-starter with a keen eye for detail and proclivity for continuous improvement
• A sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company s success
• Team player, critical thinker, and master problem-solver
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Motivated to work in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in international business, law, or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience with the SAD, UCC, TARIC, customs duty/VAT payments, other government agency controls/reporting
• Familiarity with and/or willingness to learn ATLAS declaration system
• Foreign language skills a plus
