Job Summary

- Strong Java skills with extensive knowledge of the Android SDK
- Experience using scalable Restful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like GIT, Subversion, Mercurial
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
- Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers
- Demonstrated success in defining and launching production mobile apps (Google Play or alternative Android app stores)
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
- Familiarity with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
- Fundamental and passionate believer in creating a phenomenal mobile experience
- Knowledge of HTML and JavaScript is a plus
