Required Technical Skills

• Our hardware design is stable and is comprised of several sub-systems:
• Cortex M4 MCU and Wi-Fi Module
• I2C, SPI supporting RTC, SDIO, DAC, ADC and DI Inputs such as thermocouples, RTD s, CT s,
• Humidity etc.
• Sensors: RTD, CT, Digital Inputs,
• Other: RS485, 422/232 and 4-20ma for direct connection to laboratory equipment and PLC, DCS
• LEDs, Buttons, Displays
• Li-Ion power source
• A qualified candidate will have experience with the following concepts and technologies:
• Five or more years of embedded programming experience working with IIoT sensor devices
• FreeRTOS using popular IDE toolchains based on Eclipse or VSCode extensions, and/or Atmel
• Studio, MPLab, IAR or GCC.
• MQTT, OPC brokers
• Power management and optimization of a battery powered device
• Microchip ATSAMx, STM, Nordic and other Cortex-based MPU s
• Atmel WINC 1500, ESP32, STM or Nordic-based Wi-Fi / BLE Modules
• ADC Sensor calibration
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, TLS, HTTPS, etc.

• An exceptionally qualified candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas:
• IoT integration with AWS using FreeRTOS, MQTT and/or OPC
• 802.11 networks and authentication protocols and troubleshooting
• Mesh networks based on 802.11 (Wi-Fi) and Bluetooth 5.x (802.15.1) standards
• Extensive experience with MQTT
• Power management optimization involving rechargeable Li-ion batteries
• Hardware encryption, device security and other cyber security features
• OTAP
• LTE-M, CAT-M, NB-IoT, NFC
