Job Summary
Using major strategic transport modelling software packages such as EMME and Cube Voyager including experience in model development, and experience in development of scripts and macros in these packages (some experience with BSTM or similar would be an advantage) Knowledge in using AIMSUN, SIDRA, TRANSYT/LINSIG, and VISSIM Using micro-simulation modelling (Aimsun/VISSUM) and intersection modelling (SIDRA) software packages Attend meetings with clients and collaborators You will work under minimal supervision within a defined area of responsibility Designing, interpreting and presenting transport and travel surveys Interpretation of modelling results and contributing to development of area wide or corridor transport strategies Participating in public consultation initiatives Assessing the transport effects and infrastructure requirements of new developments to support planning applications or to inform local authority development plans Developing the initial design ideas for new or improved transport infrastructure
