• We are hiring for the role of Senior DevOps Engineer under the Leap Scholar division

Job Description:

• Design, build and maintain the core infrastructure on hybrid cloud platforms.

• Perform large scale software application deployment and configuration

• Implement the automated CI/CD processes to ensure maximum developers productivity

• Build reliable logging, monitoring and alerting infrastructure.

• Responsible for the overall health, performance, and capacity of services.

• Implement projects/configurations to replicate cloud environment on local dev environment

• Work closely with development teams to ensure that platforms are designed with "operability" in mind.

• Implement systems/processes to facilitate rapid iteration and constant growth.

• Influence/Educate development teams about advanced DevOps technologies and best practices

• Work well in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment.

• Work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams throughout the company as a subject matter expert

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in devops engineering

• Experience in building infrastructure on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, and Azure.

• Experience with container and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, and AKS)

• Experience in building fast CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Circle CI

• Experience working with with Infra-as-code (IaaC) frameworks like Terraform and CloudFormation

• Experience working with configuration management using tools such as Ansible, Chef or Puppet.

• Strong scripting language experience such as Python/Bash/Perl

• Strong shell scripting, Linux command line utility. For example, awk, grep, sed, vi..etc.

• Experience in SQL and NoSQL storage systems like RDS, RDS aurora, and MongoDB

• Experience in message brokers and distributed task queues like RabbitMQ, Kafka, and Amazon SQS

• Solid knowledge of network stack and application networking

• Troubleshooting experience large scale production services

• Git and related source code management tools and practices

• Excellent organisation skill, attention to details, ability to independently prioritise tasks.

• Excellent understanding of software code quality intricacies, and different quality tools

• Experience in driving transformation from traditional product deployment models to continuous deployment models.

• Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work well in a diverse, team-focused environment with other SREs, Engineers, Engineering Managers, Product Managers, etc.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
