Job Description
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development professional for our Metals & Mining division. The role involves managing the BD/Sales lifecycle, from lead generation to order closure and account management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development within engineering consultancy or OEM companies, specifically in the metals or mining sectors. This role will also focus on client interfacing, sales presentations, and strategic market analysis to explore new opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete BD/Sales lifecycle, including lead generation, sales presentations, client interaction, proposal preparation, and order closure.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals tailored to client needs and project requirements.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities to create new business.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate market opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Prepare sales presentations and communicate the value proposition of our services and solutions effectively to potential clients.
- Develop and implement strategies for business growth within the Metals and Mining sectors.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align technical capabilities and deliver customized solutions for clients.
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.
Required Skill Set
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to engage and influence decision-makers.
- Proven people handling skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Business development or presales experience in engineering consultancy or OEM companies.
- Exposure to business development in the Metals or Mining sectors.
- Experience working in a Steel/Aluminum Plant is a strong advantage, especially if transitioning from Engineering to Sales/Pre-Sales.
- Hands-on experience in Process Plants (Steel, Chemical, Aluminum, etc.).
- Familiarity with CRM tools and the ability to leverage them to track and manage sales pipelines.
Preferred Education & Experience
- Education: B.Sc (Chemical), B.E. / B.Tech, and an MBA (preferred).
- Experience: 7 8 years in the Metals & Mining industry or 2 3 years in a related industry with a focus on business development or sales.
