Job Summary

Take responsibility for daily P&L reporting for our Commodities and Global Markets business. Operating in all major trading locations, the business combines specialist expertise, risk and capital solutions to help clients realise opportunity in global markets.

Working in a high performing team, you will be responsible for execution of daily P&Ls/reconciliations and monthly tasks such as month end close and Balance Sheet Substantiation. You will regularly interact with members of the Trading Desks to resolve issues, support junior staff, maintain positive client relationships and keep documentation of various processes and procedures up to date.

Once a good working knowledge of the key tasks has been developed, you will be given the opportunity to take responsibility for developing improvements in efficiency (speed of delivery) and presentation (to aid business review), and train and mentor new staff members. You will be required to continually challenge and attempt to improve the control environment that the business operates in and participate in change management projects.

To be successful in this role you will have a professional accounting qualification (preferably CA) with minimum of 4-6 years of post-qualification experience. You will have expertise in financial products, understand business strategy and have experience managing P&Ls and core reconciliations. You will be comfortable working in different time zones (shift work) to support our global business. A background in product control with exposure to financial instruments will be an added advantage.
