Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Macquarie Asset Management team as a technical analyst. You will gain exposure to the private equity industry working on our reporting platform. You ll be responsible for standardizing / automating processes for external investor reporting where you will be working closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, suggest a feasible approach, implement solution, ensure accuracy and timely delivery of project.

You are expected to take complete ownership of deliverables from automation to proper documentation and driving data quality and integrity through checks and validations. Understanding and resolving the concerns of stakeholders is one of the key objectives of this role. You will also be required to provide support for adhoc requirements from the business and identify further opportunities to improve the process.

You will be responsible for working closely with data providers and the data warehouse to handle bulk data and prepare automated data input/output processes and integration initiatives. You ll translate business requirements into specifications to generate reports from multiple data sources and build dashboards on Power BI / Alteryx / other BI tools to analyse and present the data. You ll also work on Power BI cloud technology to implement dashboards on a cloud environment, work on Excel macros to develop Excel-based tools and maintain process and system documentation for the automation processes.

You will be responsible for assisting with the interpretation of new requirements and validations while supporting ad-hoc requirements from business users. You ll also identify further opportunities to improve processes, and stay up to date on industry best practises, emerging tools and techniques.

To be successful in this role you will have a Bachelor of Technology or a Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Science or IT only) with strong academic performance and working knowledge of MS Excel. You will also demonstrate excellent logical ability, self-confidence and strong communication to work independently in this role.
