Executive Front End Web Developer, Web Services

Join us as Front End Web Developer, and play a pivotal role in online presence of Macquarie Investment Management.

This opportunity will see you collaborating with the business and creative teams to translate thoughts and designs into responsive, cross-browser compatible web pages. Working within the Sitecore, Open Text, and AEM Content Management System using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and some XML you ll be responsible for developing and maintaining financial websites and microsites while also adding new features and functionality as required. You ll strive to increase the responsiveness and constantly improve usability while remaining up to date with the latest development techniques that will help shape clients' needs.

You ll be a resource to staff and other end users by providing functional guidance to determine the most beneficial method and format to present information digitally. You ll apply consistent web standards and guidelines for style, content, and code, consistent with brand policies and style guides. You ll also gather feedback from external users to help drive website content improvements and enhancements and perform research to coordinate informative formats.

To be successful in this role you ll have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent formal education along with 3 to 5 years of experience using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You ll have the ability to search, navigate and effect change in a CMS environment and be comfortable writing semantic, modular front-end code using HTML5, CSS3, and W3C coding practices. You ll also have an understanding of the concepts of progressive enhancement, mobile first and future friendly design. Experience with Twitter Bootstrap framework, LESS Preprocessor, jQuery library and Sitecore CMS is an added advantage. It is also favorable if you have experience in the use of custom written JavaScript and a firm grasp of SEO and SEM best practices along with familiarity of browser testing and debugging.

You ll demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and service attitude and bring a detail-oriented, flexible and customer-focused approach to deal with changing priorities, meet deadlines, and build customer confidence. You ll be able to use oral and written communication skills to present web-based information in a logical format to ease the user s ability to access and understand information. Knowledge of financial markets and products, particularly investment funds will be considered favorably.
