epub Developer / Xml Operator / Epub Specialist Job Description
1. Responsible to Create, Maintain Xml / Html / Epub Files Independently. Should Be Able to Understand the Project Specifications, Mark-ups and Style Guide Shared By Client.
2. Should have Hands On Experience in Manual Coding (html and Css).
3. Base Knowledge in Image and Text Extraction Software (e.g. Photoshop and Abbyy fine Reader)
4. Should have Exposure to View the E-pub Files in the Devices (e.g. Ipad, Tab, Kindle Etc..)
5. Technically Skilled Xml, Epub2.0, Epub3.0, Fixed Layout, Mathml, Html, Css.
6. Knowledge of Powermath/mathtype/mathml is a Must
7. Should Be Capable of Validating the Files Using the Validator Tool and Ensuring the Correctness of the Epub Package or Xml File Before Dispatch of the File
8. Will Work On Fixed Layout/interactive Epub Samples and Assist Live Production
9. Should Be Based On the Latest Web Standards Including Html5
10. Customer Interaction and Strict Adherence to Timelines
11. Knowledge of Dtd, Epsilon, Ms Office and Adobe Acrobat Professional, Adobe Photoshop Will Be An Added Advantage
