Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible to provide technical inputs with regards to better stowage, bunker and tank cleaning plans to avoid unnecessary expenses or revenue leakages on request from Chartering, review charter parties (TCP), terms agreed and provide feedback in case of any change and to provide feedback to chartering on a regular basis for continuous improvement, new amendments and revision in procedures during and post completion of voyage for future cost avoidance.

- Avoid revenue leakage by effective course correction in case of any deviations and unforeseen situations. Review fixtures by chartering and provide recommendation on TCE basis expenditure elements. Provide allocation basis final agreement in IMOS and review Risk and Performance and P&L reports daily.

- Ensure voyage is executed as per agreed terms and charter parties in the most optimal manner. This includes procurement of bunker, tank cleaning process requirements, port cost (tug) optimization, agency appointments, voyage route optimization, intake optimisation, port time management, speed and bunker consumption review.

- To liaise with all stakeholders (chartering, charterers, pool partners / owners, technical managers, agents, terminals, suppliers, vessels, brokers etc.) to expedite and resolve issues (if any) to optimize our earnings. Build relationships with pool partners, owners and provide feedback to management services for customer satisfaction.

- Update IMOS updated as per SOP for every Voyage. Collaborate with claims, demurrage and ADT team for timely receivables and accurate payables for profitable voyage results. Obtain legal/P and I advise in case of disputes, off hires, breakdowns, and incidents.


What we are looking for

An ideal candidate should be a successful tanker operator or Time Charter Out Vessel Operator with ability to demonstrate a structured work approach and ensure all voyages are delivered in accordance with the Maersk Tankers SOP. The candidate should have thorough understanding of the Tanker Industry including commercial operations processes with below experience.

- Sailed onboard tanker vessels as a Navigating Officer or Engineer or should have previous experience working with commercial tanker operations in owners, chartering or brokerage shop.

- Ability to work in accordance with documented procedures with attention to detail and accuracy.

- Possess good interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate with different stakeholders with different background and ranks.
