Summary : Ensures the Documentation on import operations are carried out timely and the customer are served timely and ensures all the billing are accurate and done on time. Ensures that the Customs Procedures are followed at all times Roles & Responsibilities : Responsible for CFS -import documentation & billing. Follow up on CFS documentation process & compliance in line with SOP. Ensure to collect appropriate documents from customers viz BL/BOE/OOC/DO etc. during gate IN & OUT of cargo/container from CFS. Uploading IAL in system/work order/gate-out pass generation & billing. Endorsing container/cargo availability status in CFS to customs after thorough check in system. Accountable for documenting customs detained cargo/container and submitting report to customs as and when required. Billing to customers using CFS tariff and contract rate. Ensure timely billing to customer with error free service. Ensure on payment collection with cashier on invoicing for cash customer. Interacting with shipping lines in case of the contingency regarding DO/BL. Reconciliation with empty container post de-stuffing on daily basis. Ensure to validate manual billing & receipt of payment while issuing manual gate out pass. Invoice follow up with vendor and process it for on time payment. Responsible for preparing and sending timely MIS/ periodic reports to the respective stake holders. Working in co-ordination with customs officials, customer service & cashier team on day-to-day activities. Interaction with control tower team in case of contingency on laden container arrival & empty container evacuation. Ability to understand customer (CHA-Importer-consignee) needs and helping them out in pleasant manner. Support customer service in customer query resolution. Timely responding to e-mail queries to the customers, related to documentation/invoicing. Pre-planning and communicating internal team on special request from customer. Understanding characteristic of hazardous cargo and HSSE compliance.
