Powerbi Technical Specialist Job in Magento Developer Group

This position requires broad expertise across the domain of PowerBI and Azure platform with proficient skills in Data extraction & modelling. Experience with PowerBI on different sources (including BW HANA views, CRM and SF) and with extraction and transformation of data in Azure platform is a must.

In this role you will be required to develop/implement business solutions based on user functional and/or technical requirements analysis in a support (issue solving, minor changes) and project (major change requests) way. Propose, program or configure, document and Unit test Azure and PowerBI solutions according to the functional and technical requirements adhering to Azure/PowerBI standard and our standards as closely as possible. Staying up-to-date with new functionalities and with new technologies is an important part of the job.

You will liaise remotely with a number of your colleagues across the globe and with external parties, but will be based alongside other IT and Power BI people in Riga. Within a matrix organization you will report to the IT Manager Business & Data Intelligence

The Senior Azure and PowerBI Technical Specialist should possess the following:
Data Analysis and Modelling:
Gather and analyze business requirements and design specifications
Analyze the required data
Know Data warehouse design principles and best practices
Determine of best data sources to use
Translate business needs into technical specs
Create Data Model in Power BI
Determine Data Flows
Use of DAX formulas
Data Visualization and Reporting:
Use data visualization techniques to present information
Design reports and dashboards
Execute Unit testing
Prepare documentation
Be capable in utilizing the Azure platform for BI reporting: building Azure Data Factory pipelines for extraction of data, execute transformations in Azure Data Bricks, use modelling in Azure Synapse, connecting Power BI to Synapse to build reporting
Use CI/CD DevOps to make sure DEV, TEST and PROD environments are used for developments and kept in sync
Support and further development of the enterprise data models, Power BI reports and dashboards
Implement new Power BI reports and enhance existing ones
In-depth experience in Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks, Azure Synapse, MS Power BI, DAX, Power Query, MS SQL and T-SQL, connecting to multiple data sources:
Excel, Sharepoint files, BW HANA views, BEx queries, CRM, SQL databases,
User management:
Manage authorizations and security setting for Power BI users
Establish/Follow procedures for Data/Report Sharing & Publishing
Projects:
Participate in projects of the overall BI team (including collaboration with external BI consultants)
Execute timely the assigned tasks within a project
Support:
Monitor the automated refresh schedules and remediate if needed
Follow-up on issues and requests on Power BI reports
Provide support to end-users
Governance, Administration and Monitoring
Assure governance and best practices are being followed
Fulfill administration role on Power BI tenant and Azure
Monitor pipelines, refreshes, report usage, premium capacity and make sure system is kept clean and operational
Follow up on new features in Power BI and Azure and exploit the ones interesting for the client
