Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

K-12 Text Book Writers (Print & Digital) / Subject Matter Experts in Science / Maths / English / Social Studies/ Economics/ Business

We are looking for writers for both Primary and Secondary School text book content (print and digital).

Children the world over need quality text books that engage and inspire. As a text book writer for K-12 subject domains, you will be creating original, engaging, highly visual, textbooks based on sound principles of learning (pedagogy).

We will guide you, mentor you and support you with the resources you need, but you must be conscientious, and meticulous in your attention to detail. You should have a sound understanding of the content and learning outcomes, and appreciate the rigor required for writing educational content, and the importance of content integrity and accuracy.

• You may have taught or tutored students, in class or outside, or be able to think like a teacher who knows what students don t know.

• You should have read lots of books, and have an understanding of what a text book should offer, and how it must align to the curriculum, and also what a text book should not be.

• You should be able to research online for ways to bring the content to life through stories, visuals and infographics, write assessments and build question banks.

• You should be able to come up with creative ideas for classroom activities, spark interest, and motivate learners, and a plus point if you can also think up ideas for animations and interactivities for the digital medium.

Preferred Skills:
