We need colleagues to perform the governance over telemetry, this role will meet the needs of today with limited OS coverage and tomorrow Essential capabilities Metrics Stakeholder engagement Governance Other capabilities Exposure to SIEM platforms Experience 3+ years in a tier 1 SOC/Risk/Governance role Preferred 1+ year using Splunk or other SIEM Qualification Requirements Tertiary qualified with a Degree in Technology or Business Key Decisions Key Accountabilities Decisions in line with key accountabilities Continuous uplift of metrics tracking telemetry coverage, compliance to guidance notes, retention and non production environments Generate and report on metrics tracking telemetry coverage Drive prescribed KPI s for logging compliance Engage stakeholders, enabling compliance with logging and monitoring policy and guidance notes Initiate and monitor troubleshooting with relevant stakeholders to ensure issues are remediated per logging and monitoring policy and guidance notes Continuous uplift of technical service owner attestation process and Control CSA s Reviewing and validating attestations Raising and following up on findings Reviewing and recommending changes to control Continuous review of telemetry delays and engage NMP, SIEM Engineering team and Technical Service Owners to reduce risk of high time to detect. Periodically review logging bypasses with Security Architecture and Architecture Assurance to determine gaps in coverage. Key Interfaces Key Performance Indicators Group Security Enterprise Technology/ Monitoring Platform Proactively manage risk, meeting all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; adhere to process and procedures pertinent to role; and escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified (risk accountability forms part of all roles, as everyone is responsible for managing risk and compliance).
