Job Summary
  • Administer, maintain and support L3 level Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu/CentOS) operating systems.
  • Resolve major incidents and technical escalations within agreed SLAs and quality.
  • Problem Management: Perform root cause analysis for problems and major incidents, provide workarounds to ensure business continuity and prepare RCA reports.
  • Provide support on Linux virtual infra, KVM or Oracle virtual server. Change Management: Prepare Implementation plan, rollback plan and test plan, risk and impact analysis for critical or complex changes. Review the change plan and documentation prepared by level 2 engineers or peers.
  • Participate in CAB meetings as needed and assist change manager in techno-operations decision process
  • Install hardware and software, maintain appropriate service levels, performance tuning, OS updates, patching and firmware upgrades across multiple hardware platforms.
  • Perform advance tasks such as, capacity planning, performance monitoring, provide recommendations for improvement and implement or oversee implementation of the recommendations.
  • Perform system software upgrades including planning / scheduling, testing, coordination, and maintaining integrity of operating system environment.
  • Harden operating system parameters in line with MH security policy, standards or best practices.
  • Respond to outages both during normal business hours and after-hours on a need basis (on-call support).
  • Documentation, knowledge sharing and training of junior members.
  • Coordinating and interfacing with outside vendors, end users, other department team members, and service providers to resolve issues.
  • Analyse data, oversee and contribute to service improvements.
  • Oversee tasks executed by junior members and stand in for them if needed.
  • Ability to engage with customer and internal teams for providing technical insights and analysis.
  • Good communication skills Oral, written, presentation & team mentoring skills
