Job Summary

Role:

Process/ Facility planning for Engine assy and process automation and ANDON/ SCADA systems


Education: B.tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial


Job Responsibilities


1. Process & layout Planning :- Engine Assembly &ANDON/ SCADA systems and Process Automation.

'Mapping and conceptualizing various aspects of assembly line logic flow requirements, system architecture, logic integration of equipment, manual processes, poka yoke (fool proofing methods), Vision based systems, process automation, data acquisition, storage and retrieval and reporting, etc.


2. Facility Planning & set-up :-

- Preparation of Equipment/ system specification and layouts,

- Procurement and modification of equipment/ systems involving Techno-commercial evaluation through tendering process,

- Installation & commissioning (e.g. Installation & commissioning and handover after trials of equipment and systems),

- Monitoring - Scheduling & Reporting (Preparation of schedule for the above activities and tracking of progress, Updation of project progress against plan), Post commissioning activities &

- Project closure (trial monitoring, production support and liasoning with equipment/ System supplier, Capturing of learnings and updating for future reference.


3. Plan and execute FMEA (Failure mode effect analysis) to minimize equipment/ system bugs.


Competencies / Skills


1. Domain knowledge of conveyor based assembly line shops ANDON/ SCADA systems. Good knowledge of different ANDON/ SCADA systems available in market including concept, design and specifications including utility and safety requirements. Knowledge of regulations and statutory requirements applicable. Experienced in planning and executing Low Cost automation.


2. Ability to understand technical and commercial requirements for setting-up of shop floor equipment/ SCADA/ ANDON systems and to evaluate alternatives with cost-benefit analysis.


3. Hands on experience on equipment/ plant level system set-up related to conveyor assembly line production shop.


4. Familiar with software such as Uni-graphics, Auto-cad, Factory-CAD, project management software, ERP software, Familiar with concepts like, utilization, OEE, MTTR, MTBF, etc.


5. Familiar with and capable of trouble shooting PLC & PC based ANDON/ SCADA. Familiar with and capable of trouble shooting Mitsubishi based and PC software VB, etc. based programming and integration using RFID, Wi-Fi, 2D and 1D codes, etc.


6. Ability to effectively communicate specific requirements with suppliers and monitor the overall development process at supplier end.


7. Strategic Thinking & Strong execution orientation. Logical approach, High on analytical skills and problem solving approach.
