Job Summary

Responsibilities:

Architecting and Developing APIs, integrations and creating a web application using apt technology on Linux/Windows-based operating systems.
Identify and offer new solutions
Able to handle production incidents
Should be comfortable with agile practises
Should be able to mentor/guide juniors if required
Contribute to front-end development of web applications
Working closely with customers to ensure a smooth user experience

Requirements:

3+ years of experience in NodeJS
Good team player
Good communication skills
Proficiency with JavaScript and ES6 syntax
Knowledge of NodeJS and frameworks available for it (such as Express)
Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
Experience with NoSQL Databases such as Firebase & MongoDB and relational databases such as MySQL
Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS3 and ReactJS would be added advantages
Understanding accessibility and security compliance
User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
Strong analytical problem-solving skills; adaptable, enterprising and willing to take ownership
Experience with web services API integration (Rest, JSON, XML)
Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop, and optimising output to match the specific platform
Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
Must be able to adhere to deadlines
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
