Release Engineer

Specialize in managing, documenting, and enhancing an organization s software products and implementations. responsible for overseeing and ensuring timely softwarereleasesfor organizations and may manage the software implementation process from development to execution.

Forward Plan the release windows and cycles

Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality

Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered

Capture demands for the test environment booking and release

Provide clear view of environment availability and forecast

Continually work towards making improvements in the release process

Participate and present releases in CAB (Change Advisory Board) meetings

Lead impact evaluation on basis of project date changes and convey results

Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams across GCC Central Banks, GPC and other vendors at different locations

Communicate release details and schedules to the Business & PMO teams as required

Quality Checks

Facilitate testing for Central banks/commerical banks in test environment of AFAQ (GCC RTGS) through collecting the environment demand requests, allocate the test environment and govern the test management process

Facilitate the necessary sign off from GPC-Operations team for the test closure reports

Ensure all the identified defects are well managed and tracked to closure by coordinating with GPC IT, GPC-Infra, GPC-Operations, CMA & IT teams of central banks.

Ensure all the changes in the test environment are tested by GPC internal testing team and application is working fine

Limit environment related issues leading to better quality

Deployment

Define and agree KPIs with the Test environment support team for environment refresh, housekeeping etc.,

Prepare and present periodical reports on test environment and test management activities to GPC stakeholders

Track and Manage all release activities in test environment and ensure gap between production and test environment is minimal and well documented

Baseline all Environments related information and technical spec

Help cross-program planning to oversee dependencies and manage conflicts.

In corporate process improvement across planning, quality check and deployment based on lessons learnt

Based on service request backlog, pending service requests and third party applications, Co-ordinate with teams responsible for releases, configuration management and incident management
