Key Responsibilities

Website Development

• Design and develop responsive, dynamic WordPress websites optimized for all modern devices.
• Collaborate with graphic designers to implement visual elements and enhance user experience.
• Customize existing themes or create custom WordPress themes tailored to client needs.
• Develop reusable theme and page templates for multi-site usage.

Front-End Development

• Implement and maintain website front-end functionality and aesthetics using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design best practices.

Back-End Development

• Customize and extend WordPress core functionality to meet specific project requirements.
• Troubleshoot and debug backend issues while adhering to WordPress coding standards and security guidelines.

Security and Performance Optimization

• Apply WordPress security best practices to protect sites from vulnerabilities.
• Optimize website performance to achieve fast load times and efficient operation.
• Conduct security audits and regularly update websites.
• Familiarity with WordPress security plugins and recovery procedures post-attacks is essential.

Content Management

• Train SEO and marketing teams on effective use of WordPress CMS.
• Ensure content input aligns with SEO and maintainability best practices.

Quality Assurance

• Conduct thorough testing across devices and browsers to ensure consistent site performance.
• Apply unit testing and self-assessment techniques to deliver error-free websites.

Collaboration

• Work closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to gather and understand project requirements.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, SEO, and digital marketing teams to achieve project goals.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven WordPress development experience including CMS and custom WordPress coding.
• Strong skills in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development.
• Proficiency with WordPress page builders/editors such as WP Bakery, Elementor, etc.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Bootstrap.
• Solid understanding of SEO best practices.
• Expertise in building websites with zero errors, optimized for speed and performance.
• Knowledge of popular WordPress form plugins (Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms, JotForm).
• Strong understanding of WordPress security measures and plugins.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
