Job Description:

As CAD engineer, the candidate will work closely with Microchip s Engineering Services team to learn EDA software for padring development. He/She will be trained in using the flow and then take on the task of supporting the flow for the organization. This includes

  • Master the use of the tools and flows used for padring development
  • Work with the EDA tool vendor to support relevant tool updates
  • Understand Microchip pad ring strategy changes by working with different BUs
  • Support the current tool flow for all Business Units
  • Support and enhance the current flow with requests/changes as per needs
  • Work on a computer workstation daily in the Linux OS environment

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree majoring in Electronic Engineering, Electronic Engineering Technology or related program
  • 2 years working in the semiconductor industry and having a general understanding of chip design with a understanding of padring and IO development preferred
  • Programming languages Java, python
  • Familiar with linux/unix work environments
  • Experience with industry standard flows and tools
  • Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Effective communication skills, strong work ethic, and the desire to continually learn
  • Microsoft Office skills with focus in Excel and Word
