About the Role

We are hiring a Principal Software Engineer to lead critical initiatives for the flagship Microsoft 365 Copilot App on Windows. You will be a key contributor to building AI-powered features that enhance productivity and collaboration across platforms, including Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, and web.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, scalable features for the Windows-based Microsoft 365 Copilot application.
• Ensure feature integration aligns with overall product architecture and design principles.
• Develop and maintain automation, write test plans, and provide accurate task estimates.
• Embrace team-wide best practices for quality, security, and performance.
• Demonstrate strong ownership, accountability, and a continuous learning mindset.
• Collaborate across global teams including Product, Design, QA, and Engineering stakeholders.
• Participate in agile sprints and the full software development life cycle (SDLC).

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years of experience in software engineering, OR equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages: C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python.
• Strong customer-centric mindset and a passion for delivering high-impact experiences.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Outstanding communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of industry experience OR Master s degree in Computer Science with 8+ years of experience.
• Background in Office technologies or experience developing for Windows, iOS, Android, or Mac platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and services, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience with agile methodologies and large-scale commercial software products.
