Job Summary
Milaap is India's largest crowdfunding platform for medical emergencies and personal causes. We make it easy for people to ask for help, and so, how we make our users feel cared for, mostly in times of an emergency, is at the heart of what we do and why we do it. We believe that the future of giving lies with people helping each other directly, and we are committed to creating the giving layer of the internet.
An important part of sharing these stories is writing and publishing these stories on digital platforms so that donors can be reached. We are looking for someone talented and driven with 1-2 years of experience to create ground-breaking and high-impact work. We need someone to take charge of digital design for social media and other digital outreach platforms to portray Milaap as an identifiable entity with its distinct brand identity. Someone, who believes that design is a strong guiding force in telling stories of human interest to the world, and puts digital consumers at the core of the design.
The candidate must possess up-to-date knowledge to interpret our content needs and design solutions with high visual impact. These will be related to the design and visual aspects of social media creatives for fundraisers. In building Milaap's brand identity, this is a highly creative, yet structured role that will require the candidate to understand Milaap's audience. The candidate will work with Marketing and Business Development teams to create the right sort of design and content to elevate Milaap s online presence.

You will
- Understand Milaap's content strategy and collaborate with the digital marketing and brand teams to ideate and create identifiable designs for Milaap s social media and other digital marketing collaterals
- Design creatives that engage and inspire.
- Have working knowledge of the social media domain and the capability to transform images into personifying these accounts including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn
- Co-ordinate with the product, tech and brand teams to conceptualize a distinct brand identity for Milaap in the digital space.
- Design impactful HTML newsletters with the content team that assists campaign organizers in achieving their fundraising goals.
You have
- Fluent language and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with the marketing team to understand requirements
- 1-3 years of experience, and have necessarily worked in a digital agency or in-house with a brand handling social media design for at least a year. A portfolio is mandatory (submit with the application, or have a link on your LinkedIn profile/resume)
- Basic knowledge of HTML is required
- Experience designing across media (digital/social first with print/newsletter experience)
- Attention to detail - down to the last pixel - and rigor in work. Long work hours, though not a norm, may be called for at times of need
- Self-motivated and the ability to work independently while maintaining high attention to detail
- Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts
- Execute projects with excellence adhering to deadlines
- Proficient with software such as Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects
- Good to have (including, but not all): Illustrator, Audacity, Adobe Audition/Soundbooth, Coreldraw and other allied graphic design software suites
