Unity Game Developer

Location: IT Park, Chandigarh | Salary: Increment on last drawn

Experience Level: 1 - 5 years

Working Days and timings: Mon to Fri (5 days) and 9-10 AM to 6-7 PM (Flexi Work Timings)

What does a Game Developer do?

• Maintenance / updates (e.g. new SDKs, bug fixes, new features, etc.) of launched client mobile game platform including all current games any and any future titles.
• Responsible for understanding the code and performing code reviews for new titles.
• Creation of Photoshop mockups and Unity prototypes for new game features / mechanics.
• Creation of asset bundles for all games.
• Perform sport QA and bug resolution on all games, and liaise with VMC for overall testing efforts.
• Responsible for technical submission on all platforms (iOS, Amazon, Windows, Google Play).
• Support game content management systems for various games.
• Assists with standardizing client's game's "universal technical stack including CRM, analytics, email services, push services, etc.
• Participate in product brainstorming sessions for new features of existing games and new titles.
• Responsible for timely tracking of all work in standard client systems (basecamp, Jira, etc.)

Will I need a qualification?

• You will generally need to have a degree to be Game Developer.
• Some diploma or course in Unity will be preferred

The games industry is constantly evolving, both creatively and technically, and you will need to keep up to date with the latest developments. Most training is self-driven and much happens on the job.

Key Requirements:-

• Strong knowledge of game development and platforms (e.g. Unity, XCode, etc.)
• Proficiency in using Google Apps, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Photoshop
• Ability to react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require quick response and turnaround
• Ability to build effective working relationships inside and outside the work group and the ability to solve routine problems effectively.
• Obsession with games and game mechanics of all types (board, pen and paper, mobile, console, PC).
• Ability to define a project goal, outline issues pertaining to attainment of that goal, make a recommendation regarding course of action, and implement that course of action successfully.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with privileged information, capacity to implement and monitor complex plans and schedules, work well with others, ability to make good and timely decisions in relatively complex situations, shows respect for individuals in all situations
• The ability to convey game concepts, mechanics and requirements in a clear and concise way through appropriate documentation or presentations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work effectively in heavily networked environment, including use of intranet, shared scheduling and folders, instant messaging with local and remote teams.
• Desire to work with a mass market, extremely well-known IP. The kind of game your mom will play a lot.
• Enjoys a start-up environment, ready to grow with the group.
• Proficiency in using Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio and Project or equivalents.
