Job Summary

What You Will Do Develop, modify, support and maintain ownership of software modules used for product testing and qualification across the product development and manufacturing. Develop moderately complex software in Python, C, and TCL/TK to extend and refine the capabilities of existing test systems across multiple manufacturing regions. Must coordinate software development activities with various teams, including product development, manufacturing, marketing, quality, etc. Perform electrical testing of multi-gigabit cable assemblies, analyze data, identify critical to quality aspects of product design and manufacturing process, perform root cause / corrective action analysis and write reports to summarize findings. Create and execute test plans, conduct software reviews, perform system verification and validation, analyze and resolve failure modes and document results. Understand, support, and contribute to Molex TQM and Quality / Environmental Management Systems by following approved policies and procedures. Create product and test system documentation, specifications and work instructions. Utilize software engineering tools such as configuration management systems, build processes, debuggers in the software development process Other duties as required by management. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering Volume Graphics experience programming highly desired Geomagic Control experience CMM programming experience Working with 3D STL files. What Will Put You Ahead Required Experience: Spanish and English speaking. Solid working knowledge of GD&T application (ASME Y14.5-2009) Understand metrology principles. Good organizational and interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication abilities. PC skills. Working knowledge of spreadsheet and other Windows based software. Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Strong self-starter with ability to work independently or with minimal direction. Able to handle multiple tasks and competing deadlines. Preferred Experience: Basic statistical knowledge. Strong understanding of electrical connector part function. Familiarity 3D and 2D tolerance analysis and plastic manufacturing processes. Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed. Responsibility for all shifts. Ability to travel as necessary to customers, suppliers, or other Molex locations, including international sites. Strong problem-solving skills Recognizes failures and set-up problems. Exercises good judgment to determine problem areas and need for appropriate verification and improvement.
