Job Summary

Job Description

Position Purpose Effective coordination of assigned international and domestic shipments with a high level of customer service and communication Responsibilities / Duties / Functions Tasks Coordinating Air, Sea and Land Operations for Import / Export. Daily planning and scheduling of all assigned pickup & deliveries Utilize the company's preferred vendor list and rates to best price and route customer shipments. Organise pickup & delivery of assigned shipments though effective communication with shipper & consignee Understand customer requirements and ensure consistent operations and customer service level Regular communication with customer providing shipment status information, reporting delays and additional costs Daily review of active job details and related quote in order to identify opportunities for extra revenue and additional pass through costs thereby increase overall profitability Continuously communicate with Move One offices in order to relay and provide necessary information / documentation for every shipment Prepare and submit daily shipment operations reports. Daily input of status & costs in Move One database in timely manner as per the SOPs. Any other related duties / projects assigned by the direct supervisor from time to time to meet the business requirements Minimize operational costs, optimize efficiency, increase operations profitability.

Skills

Minimum 2 years Logistics Operations Experience Strong English skills (written and verbal) are essential. Work well under pressure and able to work long hours if required Strong customer service skills Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills. Preferred university graduate Computer literate (PC applications: Word, Excel, Open office, Windows) Experience in handling shipments for Middle East & Africa
