Type of Role: Automation testing

Roles and Responsibilities

• Developing executable Test automation scripts in Selenium Webdriver

• Creating Reusable functions, which improve the robustness, re-usability, and maintainability of their test scripts and that speeds up the productivity

• Follow best practices, Adhere to standards and contribute to overall quality of systems through test automation

• Communicate with automation lead and automation SSE to ensure proper understanding of goals

• Uses good automation development and engineering judgment in making adaptations or modifications.

• Participates in knowledge/technology transfer initiatives as requested.

• Provide assistance to testers and support personnel as needed to determine automation problems

• Should have a can-do attitude and initiative to start and complete the assigned activities.

• Contribute towards End to end automation suite development

Candidate Profile & Skills required

• Must have 1- 3 years software test automation development experience on Web Based & Mobile Applications.

• Experience with software testing and automated test techniques with a strong focus on quality throughout the entire software development cycle.

• Good knowledge of object oriented programming, along with requisite coding and debugging skills.

• Design and development skills in object oriented languages like JAVA and Automation APIs exposure, Selenium etc.

• Understanding of software design principles, data structures and multi-threading concepts.

• Selenium Web Automation Knowledge using Java.

• Proven ability to translate functional requirements and use cases into working test cases.

• Strong customer focus, excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience working in an agile environment is preferred.

• Passion for improving code quality through interaction with the development team.

• Demonstrated skill in using coding standards and being an active participant in code reviews (GitHub)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Sound knowledge of Selenium

• Understanding of responsive web Application and Understanding of Mobile Native App automation

• Understanding of software design principles, data structures and multi-threading concepts.

• Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud platforms

• Experience in the Retail/e-Commerce industry and product engineering background is a plus
