Senior Engineer / Lead Engineer - Mep Design (japanese Project) Job in Neilsoft Limited

Responsibilities:

• Leading the HVAC/Electrical Team of resources including Junior Engineers, CAD / BIM Designers and Modelers for various Japanese Projects
• Guiding & Mentoring the Design team on MEP Projects from the Residential, Commercial, Healthcare and Industrial domains, in according with the Japanese Industrial Standards / Codes
• Project Scheduling including Effort Estimation, Resource Planning, etc.
• Reviewing, Editing & Approving all HVAC /Electrical Designs related to Basic and Detail Engineering including:
  • Heat Loss Calculations of Cooling Loads and Heating requirements
  • Pressure Drop Calculations
  • Psychometric Charts
  • Electrical Calculations
  • Equipment Selection based on Final Loads
  • Schematics for different Electrical/HVAC, Mechanical and ELV Services
  • Layouts for different Electrical/HVAC & Mechanical Systems
  • Coordination for Technical Interfaces between different MEP Services
  • Communication with International Design Team members on Planning, Design Concepts & Coordination issues
  • Reporting of Team & Project Performance to the Center Manager & Client Representatives
  • Ensuring Compliance with QM Processes

Desired Skills and Requirements:

• Must have strong Analytical and Problem Solving skills and proven Leadership experience
• Should have a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in the field of MEP Engineering with sound Knowledge of all the Planning Phases
• Should have minimum of 3 -4 years of experience of working on Japanese Projects
• Should be well versed with Japanese Codes & Standards related to Buildings & Industrial MEP Design
• Should be well versed with Japanese Building Standard Law for Equipment Design and Internal Wiring Regulations
• Candidate with Japanese Language communication skills will be preferred
• Must be able to communicate effectively in professional English Language (fluently speaking and professionally writing)
• Should have strong Interpersonal and Leadership skills
• Should have Engineering Design knowledge of PHE and Fire Protection related Services
• Basic knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) using platforms like Revit would be an added advantage
