Job Summary

Key Responsibilities: Designing and sub-editing high-quality pages for customers across news, sport and features, tailoring style and content to customer requirements. Selecting and cropping appropriate pictures. Sub-editing copy for clients digital feeds. Editing mobile phone content. Sourcing and editing content for B2B services. Editing other content as required. Contributing to the development of new services. Contributing to the streamlining of working practices and systems. System troubleshooting.Key Performance Indicators: Delivery of pages to customers within agreed design and quality standards and timescales. Style and tone tailored to individual customer requirements. Adherence to all Service Level Agreements. Correct escalation of issues affecting services to customers.

Minimum Requirements

Recognised journalism qualification. Excellent use of English in a style suitable for the British media. Willingness to learn. Accuracy. Speed. Flair for headline writing. Good news judgment. Knowledge of page design. Knowledge of QuarkXPress. Ability to learn new software as required. Ability to work under pressure. Flexibility.
