Overview

Netling is looking for a 'Junior PHP/Wordpress Developer' to join our team. You are a recent grad with a strong passion for the web and whose curiosity keeps you up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices.

You'll be working with us on integrating Frontend code with various CMSs like Wordpress and/or building custom PHP based websites and webapps.

Essential Technical Skills:

• Hands-on knowledge of HTML and its extensions, CSS, Javascript (JQuery)
• Proficiency in PHP and PHP based MVC frameworks like Laravel, CodeIgnitor
• Good grasp of Object Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Hands on knowledge of RDBMS like MySQL and good knowledge of SQL.
• Hands on experience of Mac or Linux based OSs and Linux commands.

Nice to Have:

• Experience of Wordpress development is a big plus
• Knowledge of RubyOnRails framework
• Knowledge of AngularJS, Ionic, or React
• Good communication skills
• Ability to learn and implement things quickly
• Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Essential Job functions:

• Taking static HTML/CSS frontend code and integrating with Wordpress or custom PHP website or webapp.
• Deploying websites on Windows/Linux based web/cloud servers.
• Communicating with clients through email, skype or other means.
